Selling on Amazon is an excellent opportunity for brands to gain more traffic and sales.

And if you have a Brand Registry and trademark that is approved by Amazon, you should definitely set up an Amazon Store!

A properly set up Amazon store will allow you to showcase your unique VALUE PROPOSITION.

How?

By creating a professional and attractive store front with catalog pages.

That is designed to immerse your customers in a fun shopping experience using high quality media.

Now think of this scenario..

I bet almost everyone has experienced going into the mall without any plans of buying something right?

Then you came across a particular store that has good items on display.

Something that includes their best sellers, top of the line premium products.

Then they have the banners and the big tags that says..

In this article, I will walk you through the steps on How to Set Up Your Amazon Store.

And how to make your customers have a really GOOD SHOPPING EXPERIENCE in your store.

Making it easier for the customers to discover and learn about your products..

..while making it easier for you to drive both Amazon and non-Amazon traffic to your store website.

Steps on how to make a storefront on Amazon

Step 1: Create an Amazon Seller Account

In order to create a Seller Account, you would need to provide the following;

  • Account Name
  • Identity Verification
  • Credit Card Information
  • Bank Account Information

Step 2: Brand Registry

Before you sign up for Brand Registry, make sure that you have at least two products that has good sales history.

The Brand Registry provides more protection and enhanced marketing and advertising features to your brand in Amazon.

With a high rate of competition in selling on Amazon, your store needs to really stand out from the competition..

..just like the store that we had for an example.

You have to make sure that you have something that will set your brand apart from your competitors and build TRUST with your customers.

Step 3: Creating an Amazon Store Front!

But..

How do we create an amazing Amazon Store Front?

Its fairly easy!

After having your brand registered, log in to your Seller Central account and follow these steps:

1. Go to Stores, then click on Manage Stores

2. Click on Create Store or Edit Store (if you already have an existing store)

3. Design your Homepage by choosing a template or Product Themes, you can choose from these templates:

  • MARQUEE: Tells a brand story and show categories
  • PRODUCT HIGHLIGHT Showcase a flagship product
  • PRODUCT GRID Display a large number of related products in your catalog
  • BLANK  Build from scratch, without code

AN ADDITIONAL TIP!

If you are using MARQUEE or PRODUCT HIGHLIGHT as your template, your homepage design should include:

  • Several products from your brand
  • Highlight or Focus your items
  • Use big and good quality images or videos

But if you choose to use Product Grid:

  • Make sure that you showcase all your products
  • Create a Catalog that is more appealing to your potential customers

4. Create Additional Store Pages to your website. It should include:

  • Your best selling products
  • Catalog categories
  • Deals and Discounts.
  • Adding a video on your page can also keep your customer’s engaged.

You would want to build your e-commerce website the same way as if you own a physical store.

Something that is very easy to navigate for our customer, we should aim for a convenient shopping experience for our customer!

Design your pages with a look and feel that reinforces what your brand is and the value of your products.

Adding a good page navigation title is also a good strategy in building a successful store page.

It should include the BRAND NAME + THE VALUE that it can give to your customer.

I personally recommend putting the BEST SELLER product with the BEST KEYWORD SEO for each navigation title.

5. Add Content Tiles to Each Page

Each page can have a unique header image, additional images and text.

But you should also pay attention to the content tiles because this is how a customer can interact with your store’s pages.

Create an amazing browsing experience that revolves around you and your products!

Some of the key takeaways in customizing good content tiles are:

  • Appealing Top Image or Photo
  • Navigation Bar with a Logo and the Pages
  • High Quality Images
  • Good SEO Titles and Texts
  • Best Sellers Highlights
  • Photo Galleries
  • Video

One good strategy is to visit another top performing Amazon to check on how they look so that you can take some inspiration.

You can apply their good practices to your own store and check how it works on your website
