The Carousel Revolution

Now, let’s dive into the main event: the game-changing update for Amazon-sponsored brand ads, specifically the headline ads. This update is a game-changer, allowing sellers to use multiple images in a carousel format for their custom creative.

Previously, we could only upload one custom image for the headline ad, but now, Amazon has generously given us the option to add one to five images that will rotate within the ad.

How Does It Look?

I recently stumbled upon the brand CordaRoy’s on Amazon, and they’re already utilizing this feature. They’ve added two images to their carousel, but I’d recommend using more to maximize the potential of this feature. This is a golden opportunity to stand out from the crowd, especially since not everyone has jumped on this bandwagon yet.

Test and Monitor

Interestingly, I just launched my first campaign using this feature. Since you can’t edit an existing campaign to add more custom images, you’ll need to create a new one. I’ll be sharing the results with you soon, and I’d love to hear your experiences if you decide to give it a try.

This new feature is reminiscent of the carousel ads we see on platforms like Facebook or Instagram. It’s a fantastic way to showcase a wider selection of products, highlight product features and benefits, narrate your brand story, and grab attention with striking visuals.

To get started, head over to the Amazon Advertising Console and create a new campaign. Make sure to add one to five unique images to showcase your brand. Remember, adding multiple images will create a looping slideshow carousel. For the best quality, ensure your images are at least 1200 by 628 pixels. You can even add text overlays to each image for that extra touch.

In conclusion

This update offers more creative flexibility for sponsored brand headline campaigns. It’s a chance to tell a more visual story, potentially increase click-through rates, and showcase a deeper catalog. I recommend testing carousel image ads against standard single-image ads to gauge their performance for your brand. Keep an eye on clicks, CTR, conversions, and overall spending efficiency.

As always, I’m here to help. Drop your questions or feedback below, and let’s make the most of this new carousel format together!
